Hathor is an Ancient Egyptian goddess who personified the principles of love, motherhood and joy, and was one of the most important and popular deities throughout the history of Ancient Egypt. She was worshiped by royalty and common people alike in whose tombs she is depicted as “Mistress of the West” welcoming the dead into the next life, as well as a goddess of music, dance, foreign lands and fertility.

Hathor was deeply loved by the general population, and revered by women, who aspired to embody her multifaceted role as wife, mother, and lover. Tanjora explores all these elements with their unique style of Fusion Bellydance, along with guest artists the Eastern Sun Dance Company!

Learn a blend of Tribal/Fusion and Classic Bellydance in fun and challenging group classes!
Performance opportunities for Level 2 & 3 classes!

Tribal Fusion Bellydance combines the elements of traditional Middle Eastern and American Bellydance with the stylistic format of Modern Tribal Style, creating a new style for the 21st century. It includes solo dancing that expresses individual musical interpretation, as well as prop dances including sword, veil, cane, and candles.
Classic or Traditional Bellydance is a modern interpretive presentation of vintage bellydance of the 20th century, both real and imagined. Sometimes referred to as Classic American Cabaret, this style utilizes traditional bellydance movements and blends Egyptian, Turkish, and Lebanese forms of bellydance with American performance sensibilities
